Butte College is gearing up to host its annual Bountiful Butte Harvest Festival, a day of family-friendly activities and community celebration. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Butte College farm at 3536 Butte Campus Dr, Oroville, CA 95965.
The Bountiful Butte Harvest Festival is open to the public and offers a delightful opportunity for individuals and families to come together, celebrate the spirit of community and explore the beautiful Butte College Farm. With free admission, it's an event that is accessible to all, and donations are greatly appreciated to support this community initiative.
The festival boasts a range of activities suitable for all ages. Highlights of the event include wildlife refuge and farm tours, picnic games, face painting, hair braiding, nail art, and pumpkin exploration.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. A picnic area will be provided for those who wish to bring their own meals. Water bottles are encouraged to help keep attendees hydrated throughout the day. For those searching for fall decorations or seasonal produce, there will be a market area with pumpkins, gourds, and corn available for sale, providing a wonderful opportunity to bring a piece of the harvest season home.
In addition to the activities and tours, the event also features informational booths representing various programs offered at Butte College. It's an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn more about the educational opportunities and resources available at the college.

"Our vision for the harvest festival is to gather the communities we serve to celebrate and share Butte College," said Dr. Jennifer Charles-Tollerup, a Harvest Festival committee member and agriculture production instructor. "We sure do hope you join us down on the farm."
Students, too, are eagerly looking forward to the event. "I think what I am looking forward to the most at the Butte Harvest Festival is being able to connect with the community and build future relationships," said Anna Loyd, an agriculture science student.
